The historic Bali Yatra will be celebrated in Kataka from November 24 to December 1, 2026, Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde announced today.
The district administration has proposed to the state government to host the annual fair at both the upper and lower grounds of the Bali Yatra venue, pending final approval. Plans include expanded parking facilities to manage the expected surge of visitors.
This year’s edition will feature artists from outside Odisha, including Bollywood performers, adding a national flavour to the cultural showcase. In addition, water sports activities will be introduced in the Mahanadi river, offering visitors a new dimension to the festivities.
Officials said the preparations reflect the administration’s intent to make Bali Yatra 2026 more inclusive, vibrant, and visitor‑friendly, while preserving its historic legacy as one of Odisha’s grandest fairs.
