The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha has launched a special state-wide campaign to ensure that no eligible voter is excluded from the democratic process.
Running strictly from October 7 to October 9, 2026, this intensive three-day drive provides a crucial window for citizens to add their names to the electoral rolls following the recent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
The core objective of the campaign is two-fold: to identify and enroll citizens who were inadvertently dropped or left out during the SIR process, and to register newly eligible youth voters. Young citizens who turned 18 by October 1, 2026, are highly encouraged to take advantage of this drive by submitting Form-6 to their local Booth Level Officer (BLO) for immediate registration.
To guarantee comprehensive coverage, BLOs have initiated door-to-door verification visits across the state. They are actively identifying left-out eligible voters and providing on-the-spot assistance with the required documentation. All collected data undergoes strict district-level verification by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to maintain the integrity of the voter list.
The drive is already witnessing enthusiastic participation from first-time voters across various districts. Booth-level agents from multiple political parties are also participating, helping to raise public awareness and assist citizens with the application process.
The CEO’s office strongly urges all Odisha residents to verify their names on the current voter list. Citizens who find their names missing, or those newly eligible, must act quickly and contact their respective BLOs before the October 9 deadline. By prioritizing inclusivity, the state aims to deliver a transparent, accurate, and fully updated electoral roll.
