The Indian Super League (ISL) has appointed Karan Yadav as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a significant leadership change as the league transitions into a club‑led model.
Yadav, who previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at JSW Sports, managed a ₹300‑plus crore P&L across sports franchises, talent management, and brand consulting. His appointment signals a renewed focus on strategy, commercial growth, and sustainable club development.
As CEO, Yadav will lead the League Office, shaping overall strategy, strengthening ties with clubs, broadcasters, sponsors, and the All India Football Federation (AIFF). His mandate includes building a high‑performing League Office, enhancing fan engagement, and supporting long‑term sustainability of clubs.
“The ISL is entering an important new chapter, and I am excited by the opportunity to help shape what comes next,” Yadav said in a press release. He emphasised the importance of aligning with clubs on commercial strategy, broadcast, partnerships, and fan engagement to strengthen ISL’s position within the wider Indian football ecosystem.
The appointment is expected to bolster ISL’s growth trajectory and deepen its connection with fans, while creating an environment where clubs can thrive sustainably.
