The nominations for the 2026 MAMA Awards are officially out, setting the stage for a star-studded showdown among K-pop’s biggest names.
Global powerhouses BTS and BIGBANG emerge among the leading contenders, alongside multi-nominated acts including TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), aespa, IVE, ATEEZ, and LE SSERAFIM.
Unveiled on Oct 12, the announcements kick off the annual awards season, with the first round of fan voting now live via CJ ENM’s Mnet Plus platform.
BTS secured five nominations, competing for Artist of the Year, Best Male Group, and Album of the Year for ARIRANG.
Meanwhile, legendary group BIGBANG earned four major nods—including Artist of the Year and Best Male Group—while individual members Taeyang and G-Dragon racked up prominent solo and collaboration nominations.
Organised by CJ ENM, the 2026 MAMA Awards will take place on Nov 20 and 21 at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. Music released between Oct 1, 2025, and Sept 30, 2026, is eligible for this year’s honours.
