Kalahandi: A car was spotted completely damaged in a road mishap. However, what garnered passersby’s attention was a huge cache of ganja (cannabis) that was found from the mangled vehicle.
The incident occurred on NH 26 in Kesinga area of Kalahandi district.
According to sources, the accident occurred while the occupants of the car were en route to Bihar from Vishakhapatnam when the vehicle dashed into a bridge. Three including the driver of the vehicle sustained critical injuries.
Reportedly, at least 48 kgs of ganja were being smuggled to Bihar.
The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Kesinga. On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the contraband, sources said.
