The family of a nine-year-old Class 4 student who allegedly died by suicide at a Jaipur school has released CCTV footage, claiming it shows repeated bullying inside the classroom shortly before the incident. The parents have renewed their demand for accountability and a thorough investigation.
Fresh developments have emerged in the case of a nine-year-old Class 4 student who allegedly died by suicide at a private school in Jaipur, Rajasthan, after her family released CCTV footage that they say supports their allegations of sustained bullying and inadequate intervention by the school.
The student allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of the school building on November 1, 2025, and was declared dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.
Family claims CCTV footage shows bullying
According to the student’s family, the newly released CCTV footage captures the sequence of events inside the classroom shortly before the incident.
The parents allege that the child entered the classroom normally, greeted classmates and participated in a classroom activity before being repeatedly bullied by other students.
They further claim the footage shows the girl approaching a teacher for help before leaving the classroom while visibly distressed.
The family maintains that despite repeated requests for assistance, the child did not receive adequate support or protection from school authorities.
Parents seek stricter legal action
The parents have reiterated their demand for action against all those they believe are responsible under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. They have also called for the inclusion of additional charges wherever legally applicable and requested an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding their daughter’s death.
The family has further alleged that the investigation was not conducted properly and claimed that important aspects of the incident inside the classroom were not fully examined. These allegations have not been established in court.
Chargesheet filed in the case
The development comes after Rajasthan Police recently filed a chargesheet before a court in connection with the case, nearly eight months after the incident.
The investigation remains subject to judicial proceedings.
Child safety concerns highlighted
The case has sparked renewed discussions on student safety and anti-bullying measures in schools.
Representatives of the Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh have called for stronger implementation of child protection measures, including comprehensive anti-bullying policies, trained school counsellors, improved CCTV surveillance, and effective grievance redressal systems.
Education advocates have also stressed the importance of creating safe and supportive learning environments where students can report concerns without fear and receive timely assistance.
