India has strongly condemned the recent Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in civilian casualties.
Characterising the aggression as “completely unacceptable,” New Delhi reiterated its firm solidarity with the government and people of the Kingdom.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) released a statement expressing deep condolences to the families of those killed and wishing a swift recovery to the dozens injured.
The strikes, executed via ballistic missiles by Yemen’s Houthi movement, have further heightened regional volatility and disrupted flight operations, prompting foreign missions and diplomats in Riyadh to take immediate shelter precautions.
India has consistently advocated for de-escalation, dialogue, and the strict protection of civilian lives and commercial infrastructure across West Asia.
As regional friction intensifies—sparking collective defence responses and heightened alert levels—New Delhi continues to emphasise the urgent restoration of peace, stability, and safe navigation through international waterways.
