Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested two persons for allegedly selling liquor amid shutdown in Bhubaneswar.
The arrestees have been identified as Shankar Jena and Bapina Jena (26) from Bharatpur area.
According to available information, the accused used to sell liquor at a hiked price during the shutdown period.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at the place and seized around 108 bottles of liquor. The cops also arrested two persons involved in the illegal business.
The estimated value of the liquor is around Rs 1.5 lakhs, sources informed.
The accused have been forwarded to court, an official said.
