Malkangiri: The BSF jawans in Kadalibandha forest under Jodamaba police station in Malkangiri district averted a major Maoists attack here.
According to available information, the security forces conducted a search operation in the forest and recovered a huge cache of explosives including one tiffin bomb, two pressure IEDs, wire and battery.
On being informed, a bomb disposal squad reached the spot and successfully defused both the bombs. The combing operation has been intensified in the forest following the recovery of explosives, sources said.
