New Delhi: The residents of the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar woke up to a stormy morning as rain continued to pour down on Wednesday too.
Apart from the Twin Cities, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Ganjam and Kandhamal districts also received rainfall. Heavy rains accompanied by gusty wind lashed several parts of Odisha, including the state capital under the influence of ‘Kalabaisakhi’ (Norwester) yesterday.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for lightning, thunderstorm and rain in nine districts today. These districts include Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Balangir, Subarnapur and Boudh.
