Bhubaneswar: Central government’s door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination, ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ to commence in Odisha from tomorrow (November 2).

Informing about the same, State Nodal Immunisation Officer Dr Bijay Panigrahi on Monday said that healthcare workers will conduct door-to-door vaccination of people eligible for a second dose as well as those who are yet to be administered their first jab.

Speaking to the media on the mass vaccination campaign, Dr Panigrahi said,”ASHA and Anganwadi workers will visit door-to-door in villages to identify the unvaccinated people and prepare a list of them. The drive will continue for a month.”

“So far, 30 lakh people have not taken the second dose in the state. The first dose vaccination will complete by December this year. To meet the target, the number of vaccination centres will be increased. More vaccination centres will be opened in villages with larger populations,” he added.

“Besides, the persons who are yet to take the vaccine jab will be motivated in order to ensure 100% of beneficiaries take the first dose by December-end,” he further added.
