Hanuman Coin Racket Busted In Odisha’s Deogarh, 2 Held

Deogarh: The Deogarh police have busted a racket involved in the trade of Hanuman Coin and arrested two persons in this regard on Sunday.

After coming to know about the selling of Hanuman coin at a village on the Sambalpur-Deogarh border, the police officials, posing as customers, cracked a deal with the traders to buy the coin for Rs 1 crore.

A special squad of the District Police, led by SDPO Pratyush Kumar Mohapatra, then swung into action and reached Tarang village Chhak where the traders were waiting to accomplish the deal early this morning

According to reports, the cops dressed as civilians apprehended Saroj Badi of Gaudapada village under Naktideula police station in Sambalpur district and Tankadhar Badi of Reamal police station from the spot

“One Hanuman coin has been seized from them and further investigation is underway,” said, SP Raj Kishore Paikaray at a press meet. Both the accused will be forwarded to the court after the probe, the SP added.
