Taapsee Pannu’s high-octane action thriller Gandhari has emerged as a major global success on Netflix, climbing to the No. 1 spot on the platform’s global non-English film chart in its second week.
After premiering on September 3, the film opened strongly with 5.9 million views in its first week, securing the No. 3 position globally.
In its second week, momentum picked up sharply as viewership surged by over 60 per cent to reach 9.6 million views, propelling the film straight to the top of the charts.
The impressive figures place Gandhari ahead of several prominent Indian titles on the streaming platform. Its second-week numbers easily surpass the 6.4 million views recorded during Jaane Jaan‘s second week, while also beating Darlings‘ viewership metrics across both its opening weeks.
The milestone extends further when compared to non-Netflix Original Indian films like Dhurandhar, which logged 7.6 million views in its first week and 8.2 million in its second week.
Directed by Devashish Makhija and written by Kanika Dhillon, the gritty actioner has firmly established itself as one of the standout Indian film performances on Netflix for 2026, cementing its status among the year’s most-watched titles.
