Producer Karan Johar has joined forces with filmmaker Abhishek Varman for an ambitious new feature film titled Gadadhari Bheem.
Backed by Dharma Productions, the project marks the banner’s entry into the mythology-rooted superhero genre.
Written and directed by Varman—known for helming 2 States and Kalank—the film is being envisioned as a one-of-a-kind, high-budget theatrical spectacle designed specifically for big-screen audiences.
Unlike conventional superhero narratives, Gadadhari Bheem draws its core inspiration directly from Indian mythology, blending traditional lore with modern visual effects.
With the script now officially locked, the production team is preparing to initiate the casting process. While details regarding the main cast, technical crew, and production schedule remain confidential, Gadadhari Bheem is set to be mounted as a tentpole release.
