Former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik and squash champion Dipika Pallikal announced the birth of their third child, a baby girl named Raaha Pallikal Karthik.
The couple shared the news on social media, expressing gratitude and joy while introducing Raaha as the younger sister of their twin sons, Kabir and Zian.
In their announcement, they wrote, “With blessings in our hearts and gratitude beyond words, we joyfully welcome our precious girl into this world. Kabir and Zian are thrilled to introduce their baby sister, Raaha Pallikal Karthik. Love, Dipika & Dinesh.”
Karthik and Pallikal married in August 2015 in Hindu and Christian ceremonies. They welcomed their twins in 2021. Karthik, who retired from international cricket after a career spanning more than two decades, now serves as batting coach for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. He also works as a mentor and commentator.
Dipika Pallikal remains one of India’s most decorated squash players. She became the first Indian woman to break into the world’s top‑10 rankings and has won medals at the Commonwealth and Asian Games. She earned the Padma Shri for her achievements. After returning from maternity leave in 2022, she won two titles at the World Doubles Squash Championships and secured a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games. She last competed at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023, winning gold in mixed doubles.
The couple’s announcement has been widely celebrated, with fans and fellow athletes congratulating them on the arrival of Raaha.
