Senior BJP leader and MP Dharmendra Pradhan convened a high‑level meeting with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Legislative Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, and other senior party leaders to review the state’s developmental agenda.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, came just days after Pradhan stepped down as Union Education Minister, taking moral responsibility for the NEET‑UG 2026 paper leak and related irregularities.
Sharing details on social media, Pradhan said deliberations covered a wide range of issues concerning Odisha’s growth. “Discussions were held with the Chief Minister of the state, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the state in‑charge, and the Members of Parliament from our party on various important matters related to Odisha’s developmental works,” he wrote.
Pradhan returned to Odisha on Tuesday for the first time since his resignation and was accorded a warm welcome at Biju Patnaik International Airport by BJP leaders and ministers.
Odisha CM Majhi praised Pradhan’s contributions to the education sector, particularly his role in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). In a post, Majhi lauded his decision to resign on moral grounds, calling it a reflection of “deep principle and unwavering dedication to public service.”
