Bhadrak: The Director General of Police (DGP), YB Khurania, is set to visit Bhadrak on Tuesday to assess the situation following a controversial social media post that affected Bhadrak and Dhamnagar.
The DGP plans to inspect the impacted locales and discuss the circumstances with senior officials. To date, 27 individuals have been detained in relation to the incident. Ten were taken into custody from the Old Bhadrak Bazaar area, and 17 from Dhamnagar. Arrest numbers are expected to rise.
In an effort to stabilize the situation, internet services have been suspended in both areas. Meanwhile, police have initiated a manhunt for the prime suspect, Firduos. The police are actively working to restore order and ensure all those responsible are brought to justice.
