Bhubaneswar: The Dengue is back in headlines once again after few days of lull. But this time, the fear of the mosquito-borne viral disease has become a cause of concern for residents of rural and urban areas alike.
Out of 27759 samples tested so far in Odisha, 3788 were detected to be positive for dengue. Besides, Khurda reported the Highest 2138 cases. Meanwhile, No report of death due to dengue has been reported till now. On the other hand, Positivity & daily infection rates has decreased as against last year, ” informed Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra.
Dengue is becoming a serious cause of concern in Bhubaneswar. People are being advised to use mosquito nets and keep the environment clean.
Meanwhile, in Bhubaneswar, which has become the biggest hotspot of the Dengue infection this year in the State, the administration has claimed that the outbreak situation has been arrested after timely intervention and appropriate control measures.
