Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl. Deepika announced the happy news through a joint Instagram post on Saturday.
The post featured the imprint of a baby’s feet, along with the names of Deepika, Ranveer and their first daughter, Dua. The date September 19, 2026 was also mentioned in the announcement.
Deepika And Ranveer’s Family
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married on November 18, 2018, in a private destination wedding at Lake Como in Italy.
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024.
They announced their second pregnancy on April 19, 2026, through Instagram. In the announcement, their daughter Dua was pictured holding a positive pregnancy test.
Ahead of the baby’s arrival, the couple also shared photographs from their pregnancy photoshoot.
Deepika, Ranveer Visited Siddhivinayak Temple
Just a day before the birth announcement, Deepika and Ranveer visited Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings.
The couple was surrounded by heavy security as fans gathered to catch a glimpse of them. Despite the crowd, Deepika and Ranveer smiled and waved at their fans.
Earlier on Thursday, Ranveer visited the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal alone. He wore a white chikankari kurta and pyjama and greeted fans gathered at the venue.
How Motherhood Changed Deepika Padukone
Deepika has previously spoken about how motherhood changed her perspective on life.
In an October 2025 interview with CNBC-TV18, she said becoming a parent had increased her tolerance and emotional depth. She also spoke about how motherhood pushed her outside her comfort zone and made her more social through interactions with other parents and her daughter’s playschool.
Deepika And Ranveer’s Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Deepika is set to star alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Siddharth Anand. She will also appear alongside Allu Arjun in Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi film Raaka.
Ranveer Singh was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge. He is currently preparing for Pralay, a post-apocalyptic thriller that is in production.
