In the striking poster, Deol appears with a weathered face, a thick grey-streaked beard, and a cigarette, his intense gaze conveying a brooding intensity. The tagline accompanying the visuals reads: “Torn between his past and present, he uncovers the truth.” The presentation hints at a dark, character-driven crime thriller centred on buried secrets and unresolved questions.
*Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak* (which translates to “From End to Beginning”) marks the Bollywood debut of Malayalam filmmaker M. Padmakumar. The film is a Hindi adaptation of the critically acclaimed 2018 Malayalam thriller *Joseph*, with the screenplay written by Shahi Kabir. In the original, a retired police officer is drawn into a complex investigation involving a murder and a larger criminal conspiracy. Deol is expected to play a similar role of a man pulled back into a web of crime and personal reckoning.
The film is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut, and Lokesh Mukut under the MM Moviez banner and presented by Kamal Mukut. Music is handled by Zee Music Company. The ensemble cast includes Ravi Kishan, Pragya Jaiswal, Jisshu Sengupta, Tinu Anand, Manish Wadhwa, and Tanushree Chakraborty, among others.
Sunny Deol, last seen in major projects including *Gadar 2*, has been associated with the film for several years. The first-look announcement has generated strong interest among fans, particularly for the actor’s departure from his usual larger-than-life action persona toward a more grounded, intense character.
*Suryaa* is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 20, 2026.
