Cuttack: Police have recovered a decomposed body hanging from a tree at Mahanadi riverbank in Cuttack city. The identity of the deceased was not known immediately.
Reportedly, some locals smelled some foul odour near the Bridge here. Upon searching, they spotted a decomposed body hanging from a tree and informed the police about the same.
Following this, police reached the spot and sent the body to SCB medical college and hospital for post-mortem.
According to preliminary investigation, it is learned that the person must have died 5-6 days ago. A case of unnatural death has been registered and investigation into the case is underway.
