Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has exempted the Odia movie DAMaN based on malaria prevention as it is very realistic and motivational. It will encourage doctors and other officials working in difficult conditions in different regions.
It is going to be dubbed in the Hindi language as well. As a result, it will gain popularity in different states of India. Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has suggested screening of the movie DAMaN in all the districts in the coming days. He said this after the screening of the movie in the Lokseva Bhavan convention centre.
Odisha Language, Literature and Culture Department organised a screening of DAMaN film on Sunday with the support of Odisha Film Development Corporation. Satyabrat Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha Language, Literature and Culture Department joined the program and said that the promotion of such realistic films will be given importance in the coming days. He said that due to the popularity of the movie, it will be screened again at the Lokseva Bhavan convention centre.
Chairman of Odisha Film Development Corporation Satyabrat (Kuna) Tripathi said that such a movie is an innovative step in the 86-year history of Odisha cinema. It will encourage all the directors, producers and actors in the coming days. Maurya and Devi Prasad Lenka along with producer Deependra Samal were felicitated by Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra. Officers and employees of various departments attended and watched the movie.
