Cuttack: In a meeting on Friday, the district administration informed that the annual Bali Yatra festival in Cuttack will be held for eight days from November 27 to December 4, 2023.
The additional chief secretary, Satyabrata Sahu, and the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) senior officials attended the virtual meeting.
The discussion emphasized the seamless conduct of the mega fair that draws lakhs of visitors to the Millennium City. The prime focus will be the security and visitor-friendly amenities.
Mayor Subhash Singh said CM Naveen Patnaik had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant Bali the national maritime heritage festival tag to Bali Yatra earlier.
Annually, in Cuttack, the Bali Yatra is celebrated to honor the illustrious seafaring heritage of the Odia people.
