In response to the recent ceasefire violations and airspace breaches on the night of May 10-11, 2025, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, convened a high-level security review with Army Commanders responsible for operations along India’s western borders.

During the meeting, the COAS authorised full operational control to the Commanders, allowing them to take kinetic counteraction against any further violations of the ceasefire agreement established in the DGMO talks on May 10, 2025.

Sources indicate that Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement for the tenth consecutive day along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting a swift retaliatory response from the Indian Army. Additionally, reports suggest that Indian Air Force (IAF) operations have inflicted substantial damage on 11 Pakistani air bases, including key installations such as Nur Khan/Chaklala, Rafiqui, Murid, Sukkur, Sialkot, Pasrur, Chunian, Sargodha, Skardu, Bholari, and Jacobabad.

As tensions escalate, diplomatic efforts remain underway, with the next round of India-Pakistan DGMO talks scheduled for May 12, 2025, where discussions on ceasefire violations and military actions will take place.
