An accident occurred near Lingipur Square on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Saturday when a speeding Route 70 Ama Bus lost control and rammed into multiple vehicles from behind.
According to reports, the bus first hit a scooter, then crashed into an auto-rickshaw, and finally collided with a car. The impact left a minor travelling in the auto-rickshaw severely injured. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
The incident sparked a brief tension in the area, with angry locals gathering at the spot and detaining the bus. Upon receiving information, Dhauli police rushed to the scene, pacified the agitated crowd, and seized the vehicle.
Police have detained the bus driver and launched an investigation into the mishap.
