Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 2 crore for a drinking water project at Dhamnagar Dargah in Bhadrak district.
A delegation from Khanwa had met 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman, VK Pandian during his visit to Dhamnagar and requested him to resolve the issue of safe drinking water at the Huzoor Mujahid-e-Millat Dargah, Khanwa in Dhamnagar.
After Pandian apprised the Chief Minister about the request from the people, he today sanctioned funds for water tanks and supply facilities at the Dargah.
Scores of followers of Pirbaba Huzoor Mujahid-e-Millat come to Khanwa in large numbers every day. This drinking water facility will benefit 2 lakh devotees including students, pilgrims, and members of the Mujahid-e-Millat Committee on the occasion of the Urs festival every year.
The Muslim brothers and sisters of the Dhamnagar area have expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and 5T & Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian for the prompt resolution of their problems.
