Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday inaugurated 130 more transformed schools in five districts including Nuapada, Ganjam, Sambalpur, Rayagada and Nayagarh.
In the first phase of the 5T School Transformation program, 1,075 transformed schools in 30 districts of the state are being inaugurated. On the fourth day of the seven-day school transformation festival, a total of 531 transformed schools have been dedicated by the Chief Minister.
Of the 130 schools inaugurated today, seven are in Nuapada, 83 in Ganjam, 25 in Sambalpur, eight in Nayagarh and seven in Rayagada.
At the event, students namely Bharati Sahu, Soumyashree Badapanda, Bhagya Laxmi Pradhan, Smarnika Patnaik, and Saraswati Sahu interacted with the Chief Minister and discussed the school transformation programme.
Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh, Minister Jagannath Sarka, Government Deputy Chief Whip Rohit Pujari, MLAs Rajendra Dholakia and Satyanarayana Sahu also joined the event.
The event featured a video on the school’s transformation program.
The program was moderated by the 5T Secretary V.K. Pandian. He thanked all for completing the first phase of the school transformation within the stipulated time frame as per the instructions of the Chief Minister.
Northern Central Range DIGP Sarthak Sarangi, who has joined the Civil Services after graduating from a government school, and Mr Arvind Dakua, Special Director, PR & DW department, opined that everything can be achieved through strong determination and hard work.
Mo School Chairperson, Mrs Sushmita Bagchi, Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments were also present.
