City Police Raids Vegetable Markets, Seizes Vehicles Of COVID-19 Guideline Violators

Bhubaneswar: The city police on Wednesday conducted raids on vegetable markets at Sikharchandi, BDA, Sailashree Vihar & Infocity Chhak in the State capital and seized many vehicles for violation of COVID-19 guidelines.

According to the lockdown guidelines, shops selling essential items like food, groceries, vegetables, fruits, dairy, milk, meat, fish and animal fodder are permitted to operate from 6 am to 12 pm. As per the new regulations, public transport will remain suspended, and people will not be allowed to move around except in case of emergencies, essential services or vaccination. Use of private vehicles to buy parcel food and essentials is also not allowed except for home delivery of food.

To check on the rules, the City Police today conducted raids on vegetable markets at several places. During the raid, some people were seen flouting the guidelines place by the State government. Following this, police seized vehicles of COVID-19 guidelines violators.
