In a significant development along the Line of Control (LoC), Pakistani troops opened fire on an Indian Army post in the Poonch sector at around 11 AM on Sunday.

The Indian Army retaliated promptly, and no casualties were reported on the Indian side, according to official sources.

The incident occurred shortly after the Indian Army reaffirmed the intact status of the ceasefire agreement along the LoC, despite occasional incidents of stray firing.

On February 13, the Army had dismissed reports of ceasefire violations, stating that the truce is being observed as per the understanding between the Indian and Pakistani armies.

Army officials highlighted that minor incidents along the LoC are not uncommon and that the situation remains stable and closely monitored.

Indian forces continue to maintain a high level of alertness and assert dominance over the LoC, ensuring that any concerns are addressed at the appropriate level with the Pakistan Army.
