Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday apprehended a senior clerk working at Boipariguda tehsil office in Koraput while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a person to hand over a land patta.
According to the Vigilance, Senior Clerk Satyanarayan Dolei, who was in charge of the record room of the Office of the Tahasildar, Boipariguda, was caught while taking Rs 5,000 bribe which he had demanded from the complainant to hand over the converted ROR (Patta from Agriculture land to Gharabari Land).
“Dolei was apprehended this afternoon and the entire bribe money was recovered and seized from his possession,” the Vigilance said.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S case No. 30/2022 U/s 7 P.C Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation in progress against accused Dolei, the Vigilance added.
