In a major step towards cleaner and more accurate electoral rolls, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has launched a comprehensive camp-mode digitisation drive under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
Ward-level camps are now buzzing with activity as Booth Level Officers (BLOs) distribute enumeration forms to residents and immediately collect duly filled ones. The shift to camp mode has significantly accelerated the revision process, ensuring faster verification and entry of voter details into the digital system.

Speaking on the initiative, District Election Officer and BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana appealed to all eligible voters living in BMC areas:
Every qualified voter who has received the form is requested to fill it accurately and submit it at the ongoing camps. Those who are yet to receive the form should collect it immediately and submit the completed form by 20th June 2026.
The drive aims to include every genuine voter while removing duplicate or ineligible entries. BMC has also launched a massive public awareness campaign involving artists, sports personalities, film stars, and prominent citizens who are urging people through various media platforms to actively participate.
Officials said the camp-mode approach has made the process more convenient and transparent for citizens. BLOs are stationed in their respective localities, making form submission hassle-free.

With the deadline fast approaching, BMC has called upon all residents to treat this as a civic duty. “A strong democracy needs an accurate voters’ list. Your one small step today ensures your voice is counted tomorrow,” the appeal stated.
Key Dates:
- Ongoing camp-mode collection across all wards
