Bhubaneswar: The remand period of Archana Nag, accused of blackmailing influential persons, ended on Monday. During the seven-day remand, the sex racket accused reportedly didn’t cooperate with the Enforcement Directorate.
It is said that Nag who hinted at the involvement of some political bigwigs in the case, has remained tight lipped to ED questions. Many questions arise over Nag’s silence. Was Archan pressurized? Who are behind the scene putting pressure on the blackmailing accused?
Archana was remanded to ED custody on December 6. She was taken to Capital hospital for health check-up. While being taken to hospital, she had reacted to media queries that several influential persons were involved and they are roaming scot-free. She said if she opens up, the entire scene in the State will change.
Meanwhile, her husband Jagabandhu Chand will be produced before court today. The central probe agency may bring the couple on remand and question them simultaneously.
