India’s largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel suffered an outage in several cities across India on Friday afternoon onwards.
As per data acquired from outage detection site Downdetector.com, most network-related issues were reported by Airtel mobile internet users after 3 pm onwards. However, Airtel is yet to acknowledge the outage issue.
As per Downdetector.com, Airtel users reported facing issues from cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Indore, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Madurai and Chennai. This means Airtel’s network reception was affected across the country.
More than 50% of Airtel users reported having problems with mobile internet while 34 per cent reported having no signal. Another 13 per cent of Airtel users said to have issues with landline internet.
Several Airtel users took to Twitter to report facing issues with the network while several others used the platform to vent ire.
