Actor Tiger Shroff is set to take his passion for football to the professional stage, having been named in Mumbay FC’s squad for the Durand Cup 2026.
The move could see him make his professional debut during one of the group‑stage matches in Shillong.
Mumbay FC co‑owner Zoheb Amrani confirmed that Shroff is currently training with the team and has been officially registered for the tournament. “He’s registered with the squad, and we are trying our best to arrange everything. A person like Tiger, we’ll need a lot of security in tier‑2, tier‑3 cities. If everything goes well, he will definitely travel for one of the games,” Amrani told Sportstar.
Shroff has been associated with Mumbay FC since its founding in 2024, regularly representing the side in the Mumbai District League. Amrani recalled spotting his footballing ability during an influencers’ league in 2023, which featured actor Ranbir Kapoor and former India cricket captain MS Dhoni.
For Shroff, the Durand Cup appearance would mark a major milestone in his football journey, blending his Bollywood stardom with his long‑standing sporting ambition.
