Journalism excellence takes centre stage once again as the prestigious Indian Journalism Award and Odisha Journalism Award for 2026 have been announced.
The awards will be presented on the evening of September 6, 2026, at the auditorium of the India International Centre in New Delhi by the Pallibani Mission.
Every year, Delhi-based Pallibani Mission — a long-standing organisation dedicated to literature, culture and quality journalism — confers these honours to recognise outstanding contributions that uphold professional integrity and inspire the next generation of media professionals.
Indian Journalism Award 2026 recipients:
- Akrur Srivastava, Chief Editor, Navodaya Times
- Richa Aniruddh, Producer and Presenter, Zindagi with Richa
- Aditya Raj Kaul, Editor (Foreign Affairs & National Security), NDTV
Odisha Journalism Award 2026 recipients:
- Ajit Kumar Dash, Chief Editor, Dainik Sanchar
- Bijayalaxmi Rath, Presenter, Kanak News
- Jaladhara Pradhan, Bureau Chief, Prameya (Anugola edition)
The ceremony will be graced by distinguished guests including former Union Minister and MP Dharmendra Pradhan, MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, and renowned journalist and writer Padma Shri Alok Mehta.
Pallibani Mission Chairman Ramachandra Nath informed the media that a galaxy of eminent personalities from journalism, literature and public life is expected to attend the evening event, making it a significant celebration of media excellence at both national and state levels.
