The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested six women and seized over 31 kilograms of ganja aboard the Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Samata Express at Titlagarh railway station.
During a routine check on Platform No. 3 on Wednesday, police grew suspicious of six women carrying heavy trolley bags inside a train coach. Upon searching the luggage, authorities recovered 31.5 kg of ganja packed inside six trolley bags, destined for New Delhi.
The accused have been identified as Pushpa Deep(30) and Bhagyabati Deep(29) from Saintala, Anusuya Bibhar(30) from Karlamunda, Anjali Luha(30) from Barpali, along with Renu Singh and Anita Murmu(27) from South Delhi.
Titlagarh GRP Inspector-in-Charge Santoshi Mahanta stated that all six accused were forwarded to court.
