The presales for the much-awaited Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 3 are off to a flying start, raking in around Rs. 12 crore nett for its opening day by Thursday morning.
A significant portion of this momentum is driven by national chains like PVR INOX and Cinepolis, which have already sold 240,000 tickets—with numbers expected to surpass 350,000 by the end of the day.
Strongest advance trends are emerging from Maharashtra, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru, traditional strongholds for the franchise.
Meanwhile, mini-national chain Moviemax has already moved past 13,000 tickets in urban Maharashtra centres, cementing an all-time top-tier trend. Experts project the overall first-day advance collection to clear the Rs. 20 crore nett milestone, likely settling around Rs. 22-23 crore nett.
This stellar trajectory places Drishyam 3 on par with blockbuster openers like Pathaan, Animal, and War. Sources predict a domestic opening day collection between Rs. 48–56 crore (with a target of Rs. 53 crore).
Internationally, day-one earnings are expected to reach nearly USD 2 million—matching its predecessor’s entire opening weekend—with total weekend collections projected to exceed USD 5 million.
