The 19th Toshali National Handicrafts Fair concluded at Janta Maidan, Bhubaneswar, showcasing the rich artistic heritage of India’s handicrafts and handlooms.

Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, the Governor of Odisha, graced the event as the chief guest and emphasized the importance of protecting and promoting these crafts for future generations.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor hailed Indian handicrafts and handlooms as an unparalleled legacy of creativity, skill, and cultural diversity that represents centuries of tradition. He highlighted the significance of these crafts in preserving history, devotion, and originality.

The fair features artisans and weavers from 21 states, presenting an extraordinary display of creativity at the themed pavilion, “Shilpa Srujani.” The event provides artisans with opportunities to showcase their skills, exchange knowledge, and access wider markets.

The Governor urged everyone to support traditional crafts by purchasing authentic handmade products, stressing that doing so reflects respect and commitment to safeguarding cultural traditions.

Odisha’s Handloom and Handicrafts Minister, Pradeep Bal Samanta, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to the preservation of these crafts as the backbone of rural economy and cultural expression. The event stands as a testament to collaboration and shared passion for artistic excellence.

With captivating exhibits and enthusiastic participation, the Toshali Fair continues to be a celebration of artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural vibrance.
