Nandankanan Zoological Park has once again cemented its position as one of India’s most prominent wildlife parks by registering a record revenue of ₹25.37 crore for the financial year 2024-25. The park witnessed an extraordinary turnout of visitors, with 39.52 lakh individuals exploring its rich biodiversity.

The “Adopt-an-Animal” program, which encourages contributions to animal welfare, garnered ₹3.15 crore in donations, demonstrating growing public support for conservation. Entry fees, parking charges, and camera rentals contributed ₹16.35 crore, while tenders and animal adoption rounded out the remaining revenue.

Compared to previous years, both the park’s revenue and visitor numbers have seen substantial growth, signifying its immense popularity.

Authorities noted that the number of visitors to both the zoo and the Botanical Garden has increased despite restrictions such as the ban on picnics in the Botanical Garden.

Dr. Sannath Kumar Narayan, the Deputy Director, emphasized that this year’s success is a culmination of years of dedication to improving facilities and promoting wildlife conservation.

The park management continues to inspire millions to connect with nature, turning Nandankanan into a thriving hub for education and recreation.
