A shocking incident unfolded in CDA Sector‑10 when a Plus II Science student, Chinmaya Sahoo, was found hanging inside a private college hostel on Wednesday.
According to sources, Chinmaya was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan. He was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where doctors declared him dead. The exact circumstances leading to his death remain unclear.
His father alleged that a college teacher, identified as Sangram, had called him a day earlier, saying Chinmaya’s health was not good. Despite repeated requests, the family was not allowed to speak to him over the phone.
The family further claimed that Chinmaya had earlier complained of threats from fellow hostel students. His father suspects foul play, alleging that a group of students may have attacked him.
