Sunabeda (Koraput): In view of the rapid surge in cases of Omicron variant of COVID-19, the Central University Of Odisha has taken several measures to keep the COVID-19 infection at bay.
An emergency meeting on Covid-19 Protocol Management and Vigilance Committee of the CUO, Koraput was held on Wednesday to review the situation and to take further appropriate measures to check the spread of COVID-19 on the University Campus.
Prof. S.K. Palita, the Vice-Chancellor I/c of the University and Chairman of the Committee welcomed all the members and asked PRO & Nodal Officer, COVID-19 to brief about the situation of coronavirus and various measures taken by the varsity to control the spread in the campus.
Following measures are being taken up by the Central University Of Odisha:-
- All academic blocks, Libraries, guest house, hostels, and offices will be sanitised at the earliest.
- All the emergency items like thermal scanners, hand sanitizer liquid, hand wash liquid, masks, hot water machines, and emergency medicines will be procured on an emergency basis and will be put to use.
- In view of the alarming situation, during the vacation from 12th January 2022 onward all boarders of the Hostels are to be informed to vacate the rooms and hand over the lock and keys to the office after examination. Further, return of the students to the campus will be informed in due course of time taking stock of the situation.
- Covid-19 appropriate behaviour in the campus must be followed strictly. All HoD(s) and Section Head(s) will see that Covid-19 appropriate behaviour is observed/maintained in their respective departments/sections.
- All students, faculty members, non-teaching staff must be vaccinated and submit their vaccination certificates to their respective HoD(s)/Section Head(s). All HoD(s) and Section Head(s) are to submit these certificates to Nodal Officer Covid19 for Official records.
- Enough awareness will be created to follow the Covid-19 appropriate behaviours in the campus. In this regard banners will be displayed at prominent places in the campus. E-Posters will be displayed in the website and sent to all members of the CUO family to create awareness including social media platforms.
- Steps for Quarantine Centres in the campus will be established in consultation with the district administration in due course of time.
- For Covid19 Management in the campus periodic review will be conducted
