Arjun Tendulkar will continue playing domestic cricket for Goa despite recent speculation surrounding his future with the team, according to a report.
Arjun Tendulkar’s domestic cricket future appears to have been settled, with the left-arm pacer set to continue representing Goa, according to a Sportstar report.
The 26-year-old recently missed Goa’s tour of Oman, leading to speculation that he could be considering a change. However, sources within the state cricket association reportedly confirmed that Arjun will remain with the team.
Arjun moved from Mumbai to Goa ahead of the 2022-23 domestic season and has established himself as a regular member of the side. He has claimed 50 First-Class wickets for Goa and has also contributed with the bat.
One of his notable batting performances came in the Ranji Trophy, when he scored a century against Rajasthan. His all-round development has made him an important part of Goa’s domestic setup across formats.
Arjun’s IPL 2026 opportunity
Arjun was also part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during the 2026 Indian Premier League season. Despite impressing in the nets and practice matches, he had to wait until the final game of the campaign to make his IPL debut.
The left-arm pacer delivered a tidy performance against Punjab Kings, finishing with figures of 1/36. He also had an opportunity to claim an early wicket after a difficult chance off Prabhsimran Singh was not held.
Arjun eventually dismissed Prabhsimran with a yorker in the 15th over.
Following his son’s debut, Sachin Tendulkar praised Arjun for remaining patient and continuing to work hard despite having to wait for his opportunity.
The former India batter highlighted his son’s ability to remain positive and trust his skills during a challenging period.
Goa remains Arjun’s domestic home
With Arjun now expected to continue with Goa, the focus will turn to the upcoming domestic season and whether he can build on his experience with LSG.
Having already crossed the 50-wicket mark in First-Class cricket for Goa, Arjun will look to strengthen his performances with both ball and bat as he aims for more opportunities at the highest level.
