As part of the nationwide Nasha‑Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Odisha Police Headquarters in Kataka, along with all police stations and district offices across the state, organised a collective oath ceremony to build a drug‑free society and raise awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Senior officers and staff pledged to stay away from intoxicants, protect their families and communities, and actively spread awareness about the dangers of addiction. The oath also emphasised the role of youth in carrying the message of prevention across the state.
The event was attended by Interim Director General of Police Vinaytosh Mishra, Additional DGPs Soumendra Priyadarshi and Prateek Mohanty, IGPs Praveen Kumar and Satyajit Nayak, DIGPs Charan Singh Mina and Jugal Kishore Banoth, along with other senior officials and personnel.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to creating a healthy, safe, and addiction‑free Odisha, highlighting grassroots mobilisation and awareness as key pillars of the campaign.
