Kendujhar Flood Damage Reviewed by Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Relief Efforts Intensified

Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik today chaired a review meeting at Kendujhar Circuit House to assess flood damage and monitor ongoing restoration efforts.


The meeting focused on evaluating losses caused by the recent floods and the progress of relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken by various departments. Key areas of concern included damaged roads, bridges, drinking water supply systems, electricity infrastructure, agricultural losses, and forest areas.

Patna MLA Akhil Chandra Naik, SP Nitin Kushalkar, DFO Dhanaraj H.D., Chairperson of the District Planning Committee Mamita Naik, Additional District Magistrate Rabindra Kumar Pradhan, Chief Development Officer Kumar Nagabhushan, and other senior officials attended the session.

Officials briefed the Minister on the restoration of road connectivity, repair of water supply systems, deployment of emergency response teams, and distribution of relief materials.

Commending the coordinated efforts, Minister Naik directed departments to ensure uninterrupted emergency services, maintain close coordination, and remain prepared for any future contingencies. He emphasised immediate action, continuous monitoring, and timely assistance to affected families until normalcy is fully restored across the district.
