Odisha today welcomed a high‑level delegation from Tottori Prefecture, Japan, led by Mr. Toshiki Endo, Chief Secretary of Tottori, marking the start of a two‑day visit aimed at strengthening institutional, economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
The delegation was received by Smt. Anu Garg, IAS, Chief Secretary of Odisha, at Lok Seva Bhawan, where discussions focused on expanding cooperation in investment, industrial collaboration, innovation, startup ecosystems, skill development, tourism, higher education and cultural exchange.
Officials said the visit underscores Odisha’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Japan and exploring new avenues for long‑term collaboration built on mutual trust, shared prosperity and sustainable development.
The meeting follows recent initiatives between Odisha and Japan to promote trade, technology and cultural linkages, with both sides expressing optimism about future joint projects and institutional partnerships.
The delegation will continue its engagements with senior officials, industry representatives and academic institutions during the two‑day visit.
