The curtains came down on Indian Idol Season 16 with a spectacular grand finale that crowned Jyotirmayee Nayak as the winner.
The Odisha-born singer clinched the coveted trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh, marking a triumphant end to her journey on the country’s most popular singing reality show.
Tanishk Shukla and Manraj Veer Singh emerged as runners-up, with Manraj receiving ₹5 lakh. Finalists Anshika Chonkar and Suhail Sufi were eliminated earlier in the finale, each awarded ₹3 lakh, while Myscmme Bosu exited after the Spotlight Round.
The finale was a star-studded celebration. Kumar Sanu, Usha Uthup, Badshah, Shehnaaz Gill, Urmila Matondkar, Shreya Ghoshal, and Papon delivered electrifying performances that kept audiences hooked.
Hosted by Aditya Narayan and judged by Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Badshah, Season 16 carried the theme “Yaadon Ki Playlist”. Running from October 2025 to July 2026, it became the longest season in Indian Idol’s history.
Jyotirmayee’s victory not only celebrates her talent but also highlights the growing presence of Odisha’s voices on national platforms. Her journey from auditions to finale resonated with millions, making her a household name and a symbol of perseverance.
