In a significant step towards protecting the divine properties of Shree Jagannath Mahaprabhu, the Khordha district administration has delivered an outstanding achievement by successfully revising the land records of nearly all identified properties belonging to the Lord of the Universe.

According to data shared by the Khordha District Collector with the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, a total of 796 accounts involving 4,728.357 acres of land across various tahasils have been identified as Shree Jagannath Mahaprabhu’s property (in the name of Shree Jagannath Mahaprabhu Bije, Puri, and marfatdars). Of these, the Record of Rights (RoR) or Khatian for 785 accounts covering 4,713.225 acres has been fully corrected and updated.

The remarkable progress follows a detailed review meeting chaired by Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Under the coordinated leadership of the Khordha District Collector, Additional District Magistrate (Bhubaneswar), and all tahasildars, the entire revision process was completed with speed and accuracy.

Dr Padhee highlighted the Revenue Department’s firm commitment: “The department is fully dedicated to ensuring the protection, accurate documentation, and legal security of all lands belonging to Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu. Necessary steps are being taken across all districts, and Khordha’s success serves as an excellent model for others.”

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has also extended his appreciation to the Khordha District Collector and the entire team for their dedicated efforts. This achievement comes after the establishment of the Shree Jagannath Mahaprabhu Land Cell in the Revenue Department.

Officials believe the initiative will not only safeguard the sacred land assets but also promote transparent revenue administration and prevent future land disputes.

The remaining 11 accounts will be taken up on priority and completed at the earliest, the district administration confirmed. This coordinated effort stands as a shining example of efficient governance and deep respect for the centuries-old legacy of Lord Jagannath.
