The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, announced that the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 will now be held on July 5 instead of June 28, following a revised schedule released on June 22.

According to the official press release, Paper-I will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, while Paper-II will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The board clarified that candidates who have already downloaded their admit cards do not need to download them again.

The rescheduling came after the Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari confirmed that the RI and Amin recruitment examinations would be conducted on June 28. The overlapping dates had caused confusion among candidates preparing for both exams.

Officials stated that the new OTET date ensures the smooth conduct of all examinations and avoids logistical conflicts. The decision aims to provide adequate preparation time for teacher aspirants across the state.

The BSE Odisha President signed the revised notification, emphasising that all examination centres will follow the updated timetable. The announcement brought relief to thousands of candidates who had raised concerns over the earlier clash of schedules.
