Odisha H&UD Dept Sets May 30 Camp Court for Appeals

Citizen grievances to be addressed in fast-track appellate camp court

Odisha’s Housing & Urban Development Department has issued an official order to conduct a Special Appellate Camp Court on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Unnati Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.


The Camp Court has been convened for the hearing and disposal of appeal cases arising out of orders issued by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Senior officers of the Department have been designated as Appellate Authorities to ensure expeditious disposal of the pending appeal cases.

The designated Appellate Authorities include Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government; Arindam Dakua, Director, Municipal Administration; Gangadhar Naik, Special Secretary; Sourindra Routray, Additional Secretary; Binay Kumar Dash, Additional Secretary; Rabindra Kumar Sahoo, Additional Secretary; Sahadev Samudia, Additional Secretary; Subhananda Mohapatra, Additional Secretary; and Satrughna Kar, Additional Secretary.

To facilitate smooth and efficient proceedings, designated officers and supporting staff have been assigned to the respective Appellate Authorities to assist with case management and related proceedings.

The assisting officials have been instructed to collect all relevant case records from the Town Planning (TP) Section of the Department in advance to ensure proper preparation and timely disposal of appeals during the Camp Court proceedings.
