The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a legal notice to South African cricketer Corbin Bosch, accusing him of breaching his contractual obligations.

Bosch, 30-year-old all-rounder, was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Player Draft held on 13 January. Despite this selection, Bosch has reportedly withdrawn from his professional and contractual commitments, prompting the PCB to take action.

The legal notice, sent through Bosch’s agent, highlights the potential repercussions of his withdrawal. The PCB has also requested Bosch to justify his actions within a specified timeframe. For now, the board has stated that no further comments will be made regarding the issue.

This development adds to the ongoing narrative surrounding the HBL PSL’s tenth edition. This overlap in schedules is a result of the PSL shifting its usual February-March window to April-May due to international commitments, including the Champions Trophy.

With the stakes high for both leagues, Bosch’s decision has ignited a debate about contractual obligations and the impact of overlapping cricket calendars.
